How does an EVA differ from a traditional in-office assistant?
An EVA works remotely and has their own location and dedicated workspace. Because of this, it can be cost-effective, since they are primarily hired by contract or freelance, and more flexible time than a traditional in-office assistant. An EVA relies on digital communication and tools and therefore is very proficient in using a variety digital tools and software for task management, scheduling and collaboration.

Is hiring an EVA cost effective compared to an in-house assistant?
It can be substantially more cost effect due to reduced overhead costs such as they have their own workspace and equipment. In addition, flexible arrangements and hours, compared to a time clock. Mo employment related expenses like health insurance, taxes, and other benefits. There is also the benefit of task-specific hiring and reduced training costs, as EVAs often come with pre-existing skills and experience. Lastly, businesses can easily scale their engagement with EVAs based of workload fluctuations.
How is data security ensured when working remotely with an EVA?
There are many things in place the address working securely. We start with a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and outline of data security expectations in the contract. There are secure communication channels that include secure communication channels. Virtual Private Networks (VPN) or passcode encryption are used along with MFA – multi-factor authentication for accessing accounts and systems. How to I communicate with my EVA?
First, we establish clear expectations regarding tasks, deadlines, and quality standards. Then we set regular check-ins using written by the tool(s) both agree on. SOPs – standard operating procedures are determined for recurring tasks. Proactive communication in providing constructive feedback is welcome, especially early on so the EVA can refine their approach to serve you more efficiently.
